CBSE Result 2025 Live – Download Marksheet, See Topper List & Pass Percentage!

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 10th and 12th Board Results for 2025 in early May, likely between May 1 and May 10, following exams from February 15 to April 4, 2025. Over 42 lakh students participated, with 24.12 lakh in Class 10 and 17.88 lakh in Class 12. Students can download provisional marksheets online, but CBSE will not publish an official toppers list to reduce stress, as noted in posts on X. Here’s how to check results, pass percentages, and more.

How to Download Marksheet

Students can access their CBSE 2025 results through multiple platforms to avoid server issues:

  • Visit results.cbse.nic.in or cbse.gov.in. Click “CBSE Class 10 Result 2025” or “CBSE Class 12 Result 2025,” enter roll number, date of birth, school number, and admit card ID, then submit to download the marksheet.
  • Use digilocker.gov.in with roll number and a 6-digit school PIN at cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in/activatecbse to save digital marksheets.
  • Send an SMS to 7738299899 in the format: “cbse10 ” or “cbse12 ” for results via text.
  • Use the UMANG app or call 24300699 (30 paise/minute) for IVRS results.

Original marksheets must be collected from schools.

Pass Percentage Insights

In 2024, Class 10 had a pass percentage of 93.60%, and Class 12 recorded 87.98%, with girls outperforming boys (91.52% vs. 81.12% for Class 12). For 2025, Class 10 is projected to exceed 93%, and Class 12 may reach around 88%, driven by moderate papers. Students need 33% per subject (theory, practical, and internal assessments) to pass, with grace marks of 1–2 points for borderline cases. Trivandrum led in 2024 with 99.91% for Class 12 and is expected to excel again.

No Official Toppers List

CBSE will not release a toppers list for 2025, a policy since 2022 to curb unhealthy competition, as confirmed by X posts. The top 0.1% of students per subject will receive merit certificates. In 2024, over 24,000 students scored above 95%, and 1.16 lakh above 90% in Class 12, with similar trends expected this year. Unofficial toppers may be shared on external platforms, but no names are confirmed yet.
